   WHO FAN SITE REVIEWS: SERIES 1 EPISODE 6: DALEK Now then, onto a slightly late review of Robert Shearman's Dalek. The episode starts off very well; with The Doctor and Rose in an alien artefacts museum. Some unexpected cameos from a Slitheen's arm and a Cyberman's head were unexpected but quite nice. We also get to see a cameo of Bad Wolf on the aeroplane flying over the sort of Military base, we then lead on to a shot of Henry Van Statten with his team, with this one shot I can already tell he's going to be a good, exciting character. I really liked the scene in Van Statten's office where the two collectors, The Doctor and Van Statten meets, Rose's line about the testosterone was extremely funny and never fails to get a laugh out of me. But then, when Van Statten mentions his 'Metaltron' we all know what's coming.   WHO FAN SITE REVIEWS: SERIES 1 EPISODE 5: WORLD WAR THREE Rating: 9.5/10 Now onto the second part of quite a strong Doctor Who Story. Here's what I think: It started off really well by revising the cliffhanger we ended on in the episode beforehand, showing viewers that The Slitheen really will do anything to kill The Doctor. I then really enjoyed the chase throughout Downing Street, ending with The Doctor cleverly entering the lift to escape. It cut to different perspectives of the characters: i.e. Mickey, Jackie. The Slitheen were also very good shapeshifters in this episode; at one point I didn't even realise the Policeman was a Slitheen. I think it also showed the consequences of travelling- when The Doctor says "I could do this, but I'd lose you." Jackie being on the phone also made it harder to watch. WHO FAN SITE REVIEWS: SERIES 1 EPISODE 4: ALIENS OF LONDON Rating: 9/10 Now then, straight onto one of the weirdest Doctor Who two parters of the Nu-Who era. Although some may consider it as an episode only worth the meme quality but I think it introduced some really interesting new aliens which sadly weren't in the series that much. I also think it handled the issue of the dangers of travelling or, in Rose's case: Travelling through Space and Time. I think a really powerful scene in the episode was when Rose arrived home and went to see Jackie, her mother and the shock on Jackie's face at her daughters return was very natural acting from Camille Coduri. I also enjoyed the cameo of future Torchwood character Toshiko Sato and the space pig was just pure brilliance. Harriet Jones was also a strong character in this episode because of her bravery when she decided to just go off with The 9th Doctor and Rose.   WHO FAN SITE REVIEWS: SERIES 1 EPISODE 3: THE UNQUIET DEAD Rating: 8.5/10 Now onto the first historical episode of Nu-Who, The Unquiet Dead. I actually really enjoyed this episode because it had a great scary, eerie feel to it with the Gelth. Also, I think this episode did really well sort of introducing Russell T Davies' Torchwood with Gwen Cooper (or Gwyneth) in this episode, who would later appear in hit Doctor Who spin-off series Torchwood. Charles Dickens was portrayed marvellously by the brilliant Simon Callow, really showing Charles Dickens full life story. I also remember being really scared by the old lady Gelth and the scene when she smashes the Coffin lid open and escapes was really chilling. By now though, I have looked back at this episode and noted that there were a few flaws: The lack of Rose and The Doctor exploring Victorian Cardiff was not present but I think that when they met Charles Dickens, it really changed the way of the story and I really enjoyed the scen...

     WHO FAN SITE REVIEWS: SERIES 1 EPISODE 2: THE END OF THE WORLD Rating: 8/10 Now then, onto one of the best episodes of Series 1; The End of The World. In my opinion, The End of The World really sets off the 9th Doctor and Rose Tyler's adventures really well. I am a huge fan of the introduction of climate change in the episode and how it portrays the concept of the Earth burning. Although, I did think the episode was a bit over cramped with all of the new aliens they tried to introduce in this episode as I felt that if they had left it later we would have been able to have a proper introduction to all of the aliens that the 9th Doctor and Rose will later meet across their travels. I also really liked the introduction of 2000s 'pop culture' in this episode with songs such as 'Tainted Love and 'Toxic' playing throughout.   WHO FAN SITE REVIEWS: SERIES 1 EPISODE 1: ROSE! Rating: 9.5/10 For my first review, I have decided to review the Series 1 opener episode Rose. With Rose, the story is basically setting the scene for the brand new revival with Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper, respectively. I think it really brings back the Autons in a great way, showing that Classic Who monsters and villains can return. And of course later in the series we have Daleks, a brief Cyberman cameo and even Gallifrey getting a mention. Russell T Davies writing in this episode is of course phenomenal; introducing the audience to all of the new characters that they would spend their Sarurday nights with. In the recent rewatch of Rose, I finally started to appreciate the episode more... thinking to myself: 'What an opener!' At first, I wasn't a big fan of Rose as I thought she was a bit to human for Doctor Who but as the series went on I started to like her character a bit more. In my opinion, the first scene...

 9 YEARS SINCE THE SARAH JANE ADVENTURES ENDED:  As you know, today marks 9 years since the Sarah Jane Adventures commenced. This show was many peoples childhoods and I would like to remember the show with this post. Part of what made the show so special, was Lis Sladen's energy and positivity about the show. She always acted the best way she could and was a role model for children at the time. I remember watching the show at the time and being devastated about the ending of the show. SJA introduced so many new characters and aliens to the franchise of Doctor Who, as well as making Doctor Who sort of child friendly in a way. Russell T Davies writing for this show was absolutely brilliant and he really gave Sarah Jane the ending she deserved. Even though the show may have ended, it lives on in our hearts and so does Lis.
