Now then, onto one of the best episodes of Series 1; The End of The World. In my opinion, The End of The World really sets off the 9th Doctor and Rose Tyler's adventures really well. I am a huge fan of the introduction of climate change in the episode and how it portrays the concept of the Earth burning. Although, I did think the episode was a bit over cramped with all of the new aliens they tried to introduce in this episode as I felt that if they had left it later we would have been able to have a proper introduction to all of the aliens that the 9th Doctor and Rose will later meet across their travels. I also really liked the introduction of 2000s 'pop culture' in this episode with songs such as 'Tainted Love and 'Toxic' playing throughout. With Cassandra O' Brien, I felt she was quite boring and unneeded in the episode. I think the choice of bringing her back in New Earth was a bit of a mistake because I think she was only really enjoyable in one episode as she was one of those 'one off hits'. Some parts of the episode however did make me feel some emotion. For example, at the end of the episode when the 9th Doctor discusses Gallifrey and his past life that did bring a tear to my eye, and so did the Trees of Cheem's death as I felt they could have easily been brought back. Finally, my view on this episode is that it is a great first adventure for The 9th Doctor and Rose but could have easily been improved by having less aliens.

WHO FAN SITE REVIEWS: SERIES 1 EPISODE 4: ALIENS OF LONDON Rating: 9/10 Now then, straight onto one of the weirdest Doctor Who two parters of the Nu-Who era. Although some may consider it as an episode only worth the meme quality but I think it introduced some really interesting new aliens which sadly weren't in the series that much. I also think it handled the issue of the dangers of travelling or, in Rose's case: Travelling through Space and Time. I think a really powerful scene in the episode was when Rose arrived home and went to see Jackie, her mother and the shock on Jackie's face at her daughters return was very natural acting from Camille Coduri. I also enjoyed the cameo of future Torchwood character Toshiko Sato and the space pig was just pure brilliance. Harriet Jones was also a strong character in this episode because of her bravery when she decided to just go off with The 9th Doctor and Rose.   WHO FAN SITE REVIEWS: SERIES 1 EPISODE 3: THE UNQUIET DEAD Rating: 8.5/10 Now onto the first historical episode of Nu-Who, The Unquiet Dead. I actually really enjoyed this episode because it had a great scary, eerie feel to it with the Gelth. Also, I think this episode did really well sort of introducing Russell T Davies' Torchwood with Gwen Cooper (or Gwyneth) in this episode, who would later appear in hit Doctor Who spin-off series Torchwood. Charles Dickens was portrayed marvellously by the brilliant Simon Callow, really showing Charles Dickens full life story. I also remember being really scared by the old lady Gelth and the scene when she smashes the Coffin lid open and escapes was really chilling. By now though, I have looked back at this episode and noted that there were a few flaws: The lack of Rose and The Doctor exploring Victorian Cardiff was not present but I think that when they met Charles Dickens, it really changed the way of the story and I really enjoyed the scen

My thoughts on... Amy's Choice

My thoughts on... Amy's Choice Now then, onto one of the most underrated episodes of Series 5 (yes, I said it.) Amy's Choice. I have seen that many people have different views on this episode, some good and some bad. My opinion on it is that it is a very good episode. So, let's start off today's review: Many of the things I like about the episode is The Dream Lord. He was such an amazing villain as I really enjoyed the concept of him being a reflection of The Doctor, even though we only discover this until the episode ends; it's a nice twist. Amy and Rory are also a very intriguing part of this episode. I feel that this episode gives us an idea about what their life is like without The Doctor and the fact that they have to choose between worlds is a very important part of the episode as Amy has to decide for a world without Rory or a world with The Doctor in The TARDIS. As well as having a very emotional feel to it, it also introduces the amazing old people aliens.
